About these terms

These Terms of Service apply to your use of Joy Clean (Android package com.happyoldboy.joyclean) and this website, provided by Happy old boy (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By using the service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

Our Privacy Policy explains how information is handled. These terms do not replace any separate permission request, privacy disclosure, or consent required by law.

Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 13 years old, or meet a higher minimum age required by local law. If you are below the age at which you can enter a binding agreement, use the service only with the permission and supervision of a parent or legal guardian where legally permitted.

Joy Clean supports Google sign-in through Firebase Authentication. Use an account you are authorized to use, keep your account secure, and notify us if you believe it has been misused. Google’s own terms also apply to your use of its services. We do not receive your Google password.

You can ask us to delete your Joy Clean account through the Account & Data Deletion page. Uninstalling the app or signing out does not, by itself, delete the account.

Your permission to use Joy Clean

Subject to these terms, we give you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use Joy Clean on an Android device you own or are authorized to manage. The app, website, branding, and other materials remain the property of their respective owners.

You retain your rights to your own content. Granting file access for a cleaning action does not transfer ownership of your files to us.

Cleaning and your files

Joy Clean scans and cleans accessible content on your device and asks you to confirm deletion. You are responsible for reviewing that action and ensuring that you have authority to manage the affected content. Do not rely on Joy Clean as a backup, recovery service, or guarantee against data loss.

Available functionality varies with the app version, your device, the Android version, the access you grant, and operating system restrictions. Storage estimates can change, and the amount of space recovered depends on the items that can actually be removed.

Joy Clean does not guarantee a particular amount of reclaimed storage, an increase in processing speed, improved battery life, or protection from malware. Cleaning storage does not increase your device’s physical RAM or hardware capacity.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the service unlawfully or access, delete, or interfere with content without permission.
• Attempt to compromise the service, bypass access controls, distribute malicious code, or disrupt other users.
• Fraudulently manipulate advertising, impersonate another person, or misuse support and account systems.
• Copy, resell, or commercially exploit the app or website without authorization, except as permitted by law.
• Reverse engineer or bypass protections except to the extent applicable law gives you a right to do so.

Ads and third-party services

Joy Clean contains advertising and uses third-party services, including Google sign-in, Firebase Authentication, Google Analytics for Firebase, and Firebase Crashlytics. Third-party services and destinations can have their own terms and privacy policies.

Advertisements are not a recommendation or guarantee from Happy old boy. Any transaction with an advertiser is between you and that advertiser. Review the applicable offer, destination, and terms before taking action.

Updates and availability

We may release updates, change features, or discontinue part of the service. We do not guarantee that every feature will remain available or work on every Android device. Google Play distribution and updates are also subject to Google’s requirements and availability.

We may restrict or suspend access where reasonably necessary to address a material violation of these terms, prevent harm or abuse, or comply with law. Where appropriate and legally permitted, we will provide notice. You may stop using the service at any time.

Disclaimers and responsibility

To the extent permitted by applicable law, the service is provided on an “as available” and “as is” basis without additional warranties. We cannot guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation, or that cleaning actions will meet every expectation.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, we are not responsible for indirect or consequential losses arising from the use of the service, including losses caused by deleting content you chose to remove without a backup.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability for fraud, intentional misconduct, or other liability protected by mandatory law. These terms do not take away statutory consumer rights.

Questions and disputes

Please contact us first if you have a concern about the service so that we can try to resolve it. Mandatory laws and consumer protections that apply where you live continue to apply. These terms do not require you to waive a legally protected right to bring a claim in a competent court.

If a provision of these terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.

Changes to these terms

We may revise these terms to reflect changes in the service or legal requirements. The current version will appear here with an updated date. Material changes will be communicated as required by law. If you do not agree to revised terms, stop using the service and request account deletion if needed.
